Our story

About EquiBillion Trust

Founded by MIT SOLVE Fellows to use technology, transparency, and community to dismantle inequality — one campaign, one life at a time.

As long as poverty, injustice and gross inequality persist in our world, none of us can truly rest.
— Nelson Mandela
Why we exist

The Fish Conundrum

Given the magnitude of inequality, the difficult question has always been: do we give them fish, or teach them to catch fish?

At EquiBillion Trust, our answer is: both. Immediate relief addresses today's hunger. Education addresses tomorrow's poverty. Neither alone is enough. That's why we run two complementary programmes — DonateTags for immediate needs, and NextSkills360 for long-term empowerment.

Founded in 2022, we replace cash donations with product donations — so every giver knows exactly what their money bought, who received it, and what difference it made. Radical transparency isn't a feature. It's the foundation.
